Hotel near Gare du Nord
Eurostar and northern trains: about 20 minutes by metro or 15 minutes by taxi from Hôtel Migny. On foot, about half an hour.

Gare du Nord is not at the end of the street
Hôtel Migny is at 13 rue Victor Massé, in Pigalle (Paris 9th), not outside the platforms. The Access page gives about 20 minutes by metro or 15 minutes by taxi to Gare du Nord.
On foot the route is about 2 km, around half an hour depending on pace and crossings. That is an order of magnitude, not a minute-by-minute timetable. You reach the Eurostar station for London, and trains to the north, without crossing the whole of Paris — but it is not a neighbourhood stop.
Metro, taxi or on foot
By metro, start at Pigalle (lines 2 and 12), about a 4-minute walk from the hotel. Connections are on the Access page. By taxi, allow about 15 minutes, outside unusual traffic.
Gare Saint-Lazare is a different station, further west: Normandy and the western suburbs, about a 20-minute walk (1.4 km) or 15 minutes by metro. Eurostar trains do not arrive there.
Off the Eurostar, sleeping in Pigalle
Many travellers look for a hotel “at Gare du Nord” to drop their bags. The Migny is a little further, on a quiet street in the 9th, with a 24-hour reception that helps with early or late trains. Once the luggage is down, Pigalle, the Moulin Rouge and Montmartre are within a walk.
A 3-star hotel at the address where Edgar Degas had a studio, open since 1962. No private car park: see Parking if you arrive by car. Airports: the Access page and the partner transfer.
When walking is the wrong choice
With suitcases, the metro or a short taxi is simpler than about 2 km of pavement. Walking suits better when you are not catching a train, or when you are travelling light.
On departure, leave a margin: about 20 minutes by metro, plus the 4 minutes to Pigalle, plus time inside the station. The 24-hour reception lets you leave early.
From the hotel, the Moulin Rouge is about a 10-minute walk, the Sacré-Cœur about a 15-minute climb. You are not stuck in a station district.
From Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, RER B arrives at Gare du Nord: the same connection on to Pigalle applies. Orly and Beauvais are described on the Access page.
Rooms after the train
Solo, two of you, or a family: see the rooms, including the family room for up to 5, useful when you arrive together from the station.
